After leaving her home for the first-time, a lorry hits and kills a vulnerable woman she had protected for nine months.
Sarah Lewis, 62 years old, was struck by a truck and killed after she left her house for the first time in nine months.

A lorry pulled onto the street and hit the 62-year old.

She was trapped underneath the vehicle, and she was later declared dead on the spot.

Inquests revealed that Ms. Lewis was clinically vulnerable during the pandemic, and she spent nine months at her home.

She finally left her home on November 16 to go get her MOT at a garage.

She waited for a taxi and then crossed the street to try to remove a mask from her bag.

She then wandered into the blind spot of the driver as he reversed.

Karl Stanton, a Lorry driver, said that he switched off the radio and checked his mirrors. However, he didn't see Ms Lewis.

He claimed that he was forced to turn around because of too many cars parked on Lynch Lane.
